On 10/15/2012, Xenopus gdi genes gdi1 and gdi2 were renamed to gdi2 and gdi1, respectively. This change reflects the correct naming when compared to their human homologs. This homology was based on synteny matching and has been confirmed by the HGNC. Future publications should use these new names and symbols when referring to these genes.
