The name of this gene (XB-GENE-1002558, NCBI GeneID: 780339, NP_001072877.1 ) was changed from ''mgc147600'' to '''''rasef'', ''ras and EF-hand domain-containing protein''''' as we believe it represents the true ortholog to human RASEF (GeneID:158158), according to synteny analysis, protein alignment and architecture compared to human RASEF.

Ref Seq also IDs it as the ortholog of RASEF although synteny is [somewhat] broken.

The name of this gene (XB-GENE-1002558, NCBI GeneID: 780339, NP_001072877.1 ) was changed from mgc147600 to rasef, ras and EF-hand domain-containing protein as we believe it represents the true ortholog to human RASEF (GeneID:158158), according to synteny analysis, protein alignment and architecture compared to human RASEF.

Ref Seq also IDs it as the ortholog of RASEF although synteny is [somewhat] broken.
