Nomenclature changes
On 6/27/2019, this gene was changed from loc100486222 to casp3.1

Xenopus gene symbol was changed from casp3.1 to casp3, Why? to keep it simple, as it is the ortholog of human CASP3, and to avoid computional confusions for 1:1 comparisons that adding '.1' causes. The gene name remains unchanged.
