HGNC and NCBIs RefSeq team have recently renamed all ORF genes. The new gene symbols reflect the orthology to the human gene, while starting with a prefix indictating location of the ORF on the ''Xenopus'' chromosomes (c#), the 'h#' for the human chromosome then the orf #. (e.g., gene symbol ''C19orf44  '' changed to ''c1h19orf44''). Old 'orf' gene symbols are recorded as synonyms.

20JAN2023

HGNC and NCBIs RefSeq team have recently renamed all ORF genes. The new gene symbols reflect the orthology to the human gene, while starting with a prefix indictating location of the ORF on the Xenopus chromosomes (c#), the 'h#' for the human chromosome then the orf #. (e.g., gene symbol C19orf44 changed to c1h19orf44). Old 'orf' gene symbols are recorded as synonyms.

Human symbol has changed for Entrez Gene: 54976. From C20orf27 to ADISSP

Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 54976. From chromosome 20 open reading frame 27 to adipose secreted signaling protein

following Human nomenclature:

Xenopus gene name changed from c1h20orf27 , chromsome 1 C20orf27 homolog to adissp, adipose secreted signaling protein

Xenopus symbol has changed for genepage ID: 5956503 From c1h19orf44 to adissp
