The Xenopus transglutaminase 3 (tgm3) genes show 8x tandem duplication and synteny to human TGM3 is difficult to establish.

This gene page (XB-GENEPAGE-6044376) was renamed from tgm3.1 to tgm3l.4, with the 'like' designation, and gene number to reflect preliminary analysis by Xenbase during Xenopus v9/10 genome annotation.

It should not be changed back without detailed analysis and feedback from NCBI.
