This gene 's name was corrected following notification of the issue by NCBIs refseq coordinator (RSCOM-106), removing human loci number from the gene name and gene symbol.
Name changed from: ''serine protease 27-like 100494126  [provisional]'' to  ''serine protease 8 like gene 4 [provisional]''
Symbol changed from "prss8l100494126'' to  "prss8l.4 [provisional]".
Not sure why the genes in these ''Xenopus'' genes had the (presumably) incorrect serine protease number ( ie 27, not 8), likely a clerical error?

nomenclature changes

11.30.2020.

This gene 's name was corrected following notification of the issue by NCBIs refseq coordinator (RSCOM-106), removing human loci number from the gene name and gene symbol.

Name changed from: serine protease 27-like 100494126 [provisional] to serine protease 8 like gene 4 [provisional] Symbol changed from "prss8l100494126 to "prss8l.4 [provisional]".

Not sure why the genes in these Xenopus genes had the (presumably) incorrect serine protease number ( ie 27, not 8), likely a clerical error?
