XENOPUS GENE SYMBOL AND GENE NAME HAS BEEN UPDATED.

These genes sit on chr4/4L/4S, and are NOT the true orthologs of human 'ZFP36L2 ZFP36 ring finger protein like 2' .

Their name has been updated changing from 'zinc finger protein 36, C3H type-like 2, gene 2' to 'zfp36l2l.1, ZFP36 ring finger protein like 2 like gene 1', following the human gene name that they are like - yes it becomes a double like.

Note that the true orthologs of ZFP36L2 are on chr 5/5L/5S and are on XB-GENEPAGE-971011

Note also that the other Xenopus ZFP36L2 like genes on XB-GENEPAGE-5885706, are now called zfp36l2l.2, ZFP36 ring finger protein like 2 like gene 2
