RSCOM-691 Nomenclature for LOC100328980 and nek2

Can you please take a look at LOC100328980 (GeneID:100328980 , XB-GENE-29077543) and assign it appropriate nomenclature? Synteny and protein similarity to the human NP_002488.1 suggests that this is the ortholog of human NEK2. Currently, GeneID: 407849 (nek2, XB-GENE-962774) shares the nek2 gene symbol. Can you look at both these loci and assign appropriate nomenclature?

XB-GENEPAGE-29077542 has ''X. trop'' 100328980 LOC100328980 on Chr5

The genes on Chr5 appear to be the true NEK2 orthologs.

We have moved the ''X. laevis nek2.S'' gene to the same genepage as the X. trop gene and we have renamed GeneID: 407849 (XB-GENE-962774)as ''nek2l'' /nek2 -like as interim measure, and removed the NEK orthologs.
