The Xenopus m1ap gene was previously c2orf65 and has since been changed.

X. laevis ortholog (L homeolog) of m1ap was identified as NCBI-ID:108704862, XB-model:XBXL10_1g5, previously "LOC108704862", by synteny and sequence homology.
