=synonym confusion=
The gene 'oxidative stress responsive kinase 1',  also known as 'oxidative stress responsive 1', has the gene symbol 'oxsr1'.
It is frequently referred (erroneously) by some authors by the gene symbol ' osr1', which is the symbol for a different gene, called 'odd-skipped related transciption factor 1'.
Use of this incorrect gene symbol has lead to some confusion in the databases where cross-referencing automatically occurs via text matching of gene symbol.
Please notify Xenbase curators if articles are mismatched to either the osr1 or oxsr1 gene pages. Thank you!

Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 9943. From oxidative stress responsive 1 to oxidative stress responsive kinase 1

synonym confusion

Thank you!
