gzf1
This is the community wiki page for the gene gzf1 please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase
nomenclature changes
04/22/ 2016
Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 64412. From GDNF-inducible zinc finger protein 1 to GDNF inducible zinc finger protein 1
nomenclature notes
06/19/21 Following assessment by David Webb at NCBI/REFSEQ, a 2nd gzf1 gene may be a tandem repeat in Xenopus and/or other amphibians, but is lost in placental mammals. If this 2nd gene, should it be annotated in new genome builds will be named GZF family member 2 (gzf2) ( HGNC approved).
