It aligned to 900+ other proteins from 68 species (including to other Xenopus tropicalis proteins) which are named igkv3-20– immunoglobulin kappa variable 3-20. This gene was named following alignement of the X. tropicalis and X. laevis proteins to precalculated orthology groups in the DIOPT program, EggNogg. It aligned to 900+ other proteins from ~68 species (including to other Xenopus tropicalis proteins) which are named in the IGKV family. The human proteins are called igkv3-20– immunoglobulin kappa variable 3-20, and we have provisionally adopted this gene name.
