The Xenopus gene name and symbol changed from il22, interleukin 22 to il26, interleukin 26, to correct an annotation error.
Synteny supports this: the il22 and il26 genes are adjacent to each other on Chr3/3L, indicating the il26 genes were misnamed il22 in the v10 genome assemblies, and the true il22 remanined unnamed. A new gene page on Xenbase for il22 will be created ASAP.
