sprtnl2
This is the community wiki page for sprtnl2 - please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase.
nomenclature changes
05JAN2023
Xenopus gene name changed from provisional ortholog of SprT-like N-terminal domain to SprT-like N-terminal domain like gene 2 (provisional)
Xenopus gene symbol changed from XB22065609 [provisional:sprtn] to sprtnl2.
both gene name and symbol are (provisional) awaiting HGNC/NCBI Ref Seq approval.
25April2023
Xenopus gene symbol changed from sprtnl2 to sprtnl.2 as RefSeq suggested, not giving this gene a Xenopus only numerical suffix, as it would never propogate through to other species, so we applied Xenopus nomenclature and the 'gene 2'suffix.
14JULY2023
Gene symbol changed from sprtnl.2 to sprtnl2 in accordance with Xenbase nomenclature guidelines.
