The ''ccl27'' and ''ccl28'' genes in ''Xtrop and Xlaevis'' had the names switched in the v10 genome annotations. Based on Synteny, and following human gene names/symbols, the C-C motif chemokine ligand 27 genes are those that are flanked by TMEM267, and the C-C motif chemokine ligand 28 genes are flanked by IL11RA, Both genes being on Chr1/1L in ''Xenopus''.

I have tried to get this right on 4th gene pages, with the appropriate names, Gene IDs and gene models , although I will take a fw weeks for all associated dat to move between gene pages. {CJZ}

note that the Xla.L model will be moved from this gene page- there is no X. laevis L gene model for ccl28.

ccl28

This is the community wiki page for the Xenopus ccl28 genes, please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase.

annotation notes

The ccl27 and ccl28 genes in Xtrop and Xlaevis had the names switched in the v10 genome annotations. Based on Synteny, and following human gene names/symbols, the C-C motif chemokine ligand 27 genes are those that are flanked by TMEM267, and the C-C motif chemokine ligand 28 genes are flanked by IL11RA, Both genes being on Chr1/1L in Xenopus.

I have tried to get this right on the gene pages, with the appropriate names, Gene IDs and gene models , although I will take a few weeks for all associated data to move between gene pages. {CJZ}

note that the Xla.L model will be moved from this gene page- there is no X. laevis L gene model for ccl28.

Nomenclature changes

07OCT2024

Xenopus laevis gene symbol changed from LOC108718397 to ccl28

Xenopus laevis gene name changed from C-C motif chemokine 27 to C-C motif chemokine 28 based on conserved synteny with X.tropicalis ccl28,
