X. tropicalis has a tandem duplication, so I think we need Shisa1.1 and shisa1.2.  I'm making the more ancestral one to be shisa1.1 (more ancestral by synteny because the two TROP sequences are equally diverged from the two LAEVIS homeologues)  The more ancestral one is therefore reflected by loc100489554.

All laevis models should be moved to the shisa1.1, shisa1.2 should only have a trop gene (no Laevis)

nomenclature changes

sometime in 2019 [KAB]

X. tropicalis has a tandem duplication of shisa1, ie shisa1.1 and shisa1.2. I'm making the more ancestral one to be shisa1.1 (more ancestral by synteny because the two TROP sequences are equally diverged from the two LAEVIS homeologues)

The more ancestral one is therefore reflected by LOC100489554.

All X.laevis models should be moved to the shisa1.1, shisa1.2' should only have a X. tropicalis gene (no Laevis)

15MAY2023

Xenopus gene symbol changed from shisa1.1 to shisa1 tp simplifie orthology mapping, with shisha1.1 recorded as synonym.
