the mis-match between Xenopus and human gene symbopls/names will consistently trigger a gene name change alert in the monthly Entrez Gene report- (ie Human symbol has changed for genepage ID: 6450014 From gvin1 to GVINP1 ) DO NOT change the Xenopus symbol- this is a predicted to be a protein coding gene model although this gene is not represented in the current v10 genome assemblies.
