The use of the synonym XFG 5-1 is based on the sequences listed in these publications: XB-ART-22184, XB-ART-24509, and XB-ART-23208.  The sequences therein match via BLAST to a gene labelled ZNF568 as of January, 2014.  Great care should be used with determining the identity of the myriad duplicated ZNF genes.  Clear homology to other vertebrate ZNF genes is elusive.  Also, many ZNF gene models were not assigned names in 2014, nor were they assembled onto large enough scaffolds to be certain of homology via a synteny analysis.
