on 2018.12.11 this gene was renamed from slc19a2 to slc19a3.2 as there were two gene pages with symbol slc19a2 and the other (http://www.xenbase.org/gene/showgene.do?method=display&geneId=953256) has proper synteny to human slc19a2, whereas this genepage seems to be a tandem duplication of slc19a3. This genepage still requires edits to the orthologs which need to refer to slc19a3 instead of slc19a2 but Xenbase is waiting for a bug fix on our ortholog interface.

This is the community wiki page for the gene slc19a3.2 please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase

on 2018.12.11 this gene was renamed from slc19a2 to slc19a3.2 as there were two gene pages with symbol slc19a2 and the other (http://www.xenbase.org/gene/showgene.do?method=display&geneId=953256) has proper synteny to human slc19a2, whereas this genepage seems to be a tandem duplication of slc19a3. This genepage still requires edits to the orthologs which need to refer to slc19a3 instead of slc19a2 but Xenbase is waiting for a bug fix on our ortholog interface.
