nomenclature changes
11/07/2016
Human symbol has changed for genepage ID: 959006 From llph to LOC646644
04.06.2018
Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 646644. From LLP homolog, long-term synaptic facilitation (Aplysia) pseudogene to LLP homolog, long-term synaptic facilitation factor pseudogene
06.30.2020
Human symbol has changed for genepage ID: 959006 From XB959006 to llphp3
Human name has changed for genepage ID: 959006 From LLP homolog, long-term synaptic facilitation factor pseudogene to LLPH pseudogene 3
Note: uncertain whether this is a real psuedogene or a functional protein coding gene in Xenopus. For now, we will follow human lead.
3/4/2022
removed ‘pseudogene 3’ from gene name, and the ‘p3’ from gene symbol, as only human gene is a validated pseudogene. All other orthologs are either validated protein coding genes or inferred as such.
17JULY2022
the mis-match between Xenopus and human will consistently trigger a gene name change alert in the monthly Entrez Gene report- (Human symbol has changed for genepage ID: 959006 From llph to LLPHP3) DO NOT change the Xenopus symbol- this is a good protein coding gene model in the v10 genome assemblies for Xenopus.
