NOMENCLATURE CHANGES
1/3/2019 this genepage was changed from tuba3e to tubal3l (tubulin alpha like 3 like) based on synteny and protein alignment to human TUBA1C.
May 2019
The name of this gene was ammended, adding 'gene 1' as suffix, and there appears to be a duplication of 3 x tuba1c genes in Xenopus.
07 JUNE 2023
Xenopus gene symbol changed from tubal3l.1 back to tubal3l' - we removed the '.1' to simplfy computational analaysis/mapping to human genes, and recorded tubal3l.1 as a synonym..

07JUNE 2023
XB curators removed the Human TUBA1A ortholog- it was incorrectly assigned to this gene page.
Xenopus tuba1a XB-GENEPAGE-22063821 has the human TUBA1A ortholog.
