nomenclature changes
27JUNE2024
Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 283254. From harbinger transposase derived 1 like to harbinger transposase derived 1
Human symbol has changed for Entrez Gene: 283254. From HARBI1L to HARBI1
Xenopus gene names have been update accordingly, and root gene symbol changed to harbi1
9th October 2024
Reverted to harbi1l nomenclature as there was another harbi1 locus (XB-GENEPAGE-6077432) with synteny support for being the direct ortholog of the Human, mouse, and chick genes.
23FEB2025 RefSeq raised this issue of orthology and nomenclature for harbi1 and harbi1l genes in Xenopus (see RSCOM-799)
Based on orthology to human HARBI1 gene (GeneID: 283254), XB-GENE-6077434 (chr 4L) should stay harbi1.L while XB-GENE-29209189 (chr 1L) should stay as harbi1l.L.
XB action: this had been resolved earlier but I removed the orthologs from this page, as these are not the true orthologs of HARBI1.
