nomenclature change
On review by Xenbase curators, this gene was renamed noxo1.2, NADPH oxidase organizer 1 gene 2 as it appears to be a tandem duplication of noxo1 on Chromosome 9/9_10 in Xenopus.
In the current genome annotations, the synteny pattern is as follows.
Xtrop. v10.o Chr 9: gfer < ... noxo1.1 > ... LOC101733866 > ... XB5835757> ... gng13> ...
[where LOC101733866 = NADPH oxidase organizer 1-like [ Xenopus tropicalis (tropical clawed frog) ] Gene ID: 101733866] and
where XB5835757 =uncharacterized XB5835757 Gene ID: 779553]
in reverse order, synteny pattern in X laevis is as follows:
Xlav. v10 Chr9_10.L: XB5835757.L< ... LOC108701676< ... noxo1.1.L< ... gfer.L> LOC121397979>
where LOC108701676 = NADPH oxidase organizer 1
where LOC121397979 unconventional myosin-XV-like
and XB5835757.L is uncharacterized XB5835757 L homeolog Gene ID: 100158433]
