nomenclature changes
02JULY2020
Following review by David Webb at NCBI Refseq project, this gene symbol and name changed from XB5957150 [provisional:fgl1] to fgl1b, fibrinogen like 1B.
This 'FGL1-like' gene is present at this conserved location in chicken (GeneID: 428073 XM_425631.6:XP_425631.4), X. tropicalis (GeneID: 100497330 XB-GENE-5957151 XM_002936729.5:XP_002936775.2), zebrafish (GeneID: 563523 ZDB-GENE-130530-668 XM_017358048.2:XP_017213537.1) and other non-mammalian gnathostomes.
In non-mammals this newly named FGL1-like gene ("fgl1b") resides in this conserved syntentic order across taxa: > NEK5< NEK3< CKAP2< VPS36> THSD1> fgl1b < TPTE> SLC25A15< MRPS31> FOXO1>
No pseudogene or translocated remnant of this gene could be found in any mammal, so no ortholog links are made , nor shoudl be made to this Xenopus gene to human or mouse, on XB-GENEPAGE-5957150.
