mix1

This is the community wiki page for the gene mixl1' please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase

nomenclature notes

mix 1 was discovered in Xenopus ( Rosa, 1989: XB-ART-26696), and subsequently, a human gene was found to be 'like' mix1, which is called mix-like 1 (MIXL1).

Do not change the mix1 gene name or symbol- as in this case- human follows Xenopus.
