Gene Symbol: casc1 Gene Name: cancer susceptibility candidate 1

clone information

from the initial image upload from the XDB (Ueno Lab) screen, 2 sets of embryos seemed clearly different from each other, despite being generated using the same clone/probe =XL105j10. THe clone matches the lrmp gene in teh XB db, but the images were assigned to the casc1 gene page.

-the 3' end of this clone XL105j10 BLASTS to the casc1 gene model, but the 5" end of the clone BLAST matches the lrmp gene.

-no other data is available for casc1,

-lrmp has been identified as a cillia gene, in a 2015 study from the Wallingford lab, the XBD screen embryos with clear punctate epidermal gene expression have been separated from the other images generated using this clone and these are now posted on the lrmp gene page, as community submitted images.
