8.19.2020: Sorry for any confusion- this gene is infact the dtx3 ''like'' gene on Chromsome 8 in ''Xenopus'', in this gene order:  cd163> cd5l> cd163  '''dtx3-like'''<  LOC#(vm2r26)< LOC#(gprc6a) <

WARNING: there are 2 other  ''deltex 3'' genes in human and Xenopus- ''dtx3'', and ''dtx3L''.

NB: there are 2 othe  deltex 3 genes in human and Xenopus- ''dtx3'', and ''dtx3L''.
The true ortholog of human DTX3 is ''Xenopus'' ''dtx3'' Gene ID: 2217250, on Chromosome 2, based on conserved gene order/synteny
The true ortholog of human DTX3 is ''Xenopus'' ''dtx3'' Gene ID: 2217250, on Chromosome 2, based on conserved gene order/synteny

The true ortholog of human DTX3L is ''Xenopus'' ''dtx3l'' Gene ID:100496352, which is annotated on Scaffold 734 in Xtrop v9.1, and in X. laevis v9.2 is [coming soon]
The true ortholog of human DTX3L is ''Xenopus'' ''dtx3l'' Gene ID:100496352, based on conserved gene order/synteny,  is annotated on Scaffold 734 in Xtrop v9.1 () gene model '''gene26586''', and in ''X. laevis'' v9.2 is on Chr9-10 (dtx3l.L gene ID:108701239; dtx3l.S gene ID:108702882). Currently there is no Xenbase gene page for these genes, and the vertebrate orthologs need to be moved to the correct gene pages. Note that the L  human in the gene DTX3L, doesn't appear stand for 'like' as it would in a ''Xenopus'' gene name.

We have reverted name for this gene to ''dtex3-like, deltex E3 ubiquitin ligase 3-like''. Note that there is another human gene called DTX3L, and this might avoid the confusion
Following this analysis, we have reverted name for this gene to ''dtex3-like, deltex E3 ubiquitin ligase 3-like''.

dtx3

This is the community wiki page for the gene dtx3 please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase

nomenclature changes

1.3.20 :gene page created for dtx3-like

6.30.20: Following Entrz report:

Human symbol has changed for genepage ID: 22172581 From dtx3-like to DTX3

Human name has changed for genepage ID: 22172581 From deltex 3, E3 ubiquitin ligase-like to deltex E3 ubiquitin ligase 3

8.19.2020: Sorry for any confusion- this gene is infact the dtx3-like gene on Chromsome 8 in Xenopus, in this gene order: cd163> cd5l> cd163 dtx3-like< LOC#(vm2r26)< LOC#(gprc6a) <

WARNING: there are 2 other deltex 3 genes in human and Xenopus- dtx3, and dtx3L.

The true ortholog of human DTX3 is Xenopus dtx3 Gene ID: 2217250, on Chromosome 2, based on conserved gene order/synteny

The true ortholog of human DTX3L is Xenopus dtx3l Gene ID:100496352, based on conserved gene order/synteny, is annotated on Scaffold 734 in Xtrop v9.1 () gene model gene26586, and in X. laevis v9.2 is on Chr9-10 (dtx3l.L gene ID:108701239; dtx3l.S gene ID:108702882). Currently there is no Xenbase gene page for these genes, and the vertebrate orthologs need to be moved to the correct gene pages. Note that the L human in the gene DTX3L, doesn't appear stand for 'like' as it would in a Xenopus gene name.

Following this analysis, we have reverted name for this gene to dtex3-like, deltex E3 ubiquitin ligase 3-like.
