gene annotation and nomenclature changes
19APRIL2023
The gene names and designations for atp2b2 and atp2b4 have been reassessed.
Based on Synteny with human, it appears these genes in Xenopus had been mis-labelled, and are corrected here.
Xenopus at2b2 genes are on Chr4/4L4S, and do not share the same immediate flanking genes as in mammals, but a commonality is seen across human frog and fish.

Xenopus atp2b4 genes are on Chr2/2S (not present on Xlaevis 2L in the v10 genome annotation) and share a conserved syntenic gene pattern with mammals, andto a lesser extent, fish.
These are the true orthologs of human ATP2B4.
