atp2b2

This is the community wiki page for the gene atp2b2 please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase.

gene annotation and nomenclature changes

19APRIL2023

The gene names and designations for atp2b2 and atp2b4 have been reassessed.

Based on Synteny with human, it appears these genes in Xenopus had been mis-labelled, and corrected here.

Xenopus at2b2 genes are on Chr4/4L4S, and do not share the same flanking genes as is present in mammals.

Xenopus atp2b4 genes are on Chr2/2S ( not present on Xlaevis 2L) and share a conserved synteic gene patern with mammals, and lesser extent fish. These are the true orthologs of human ATP2B4.
