23MARCH2015 Human name has changed for Entrez Gene: 8972. From maltase-glucoamylase (alpha-glucosidase) to maltase-glucoamylas.
19MAY2026
After orthology analsyis by NCBI, these Xenopus genes have been renamed, changing from mgam, maltase-glucoamylase to si, sucrase-isomaltase. Synteny supports this change.
It is unclear wheter Xenopus have a true MGAM ortholog(s).
