The v10 gene ome annotation recognises 3 tandem acrbpl genes in X. tropicalis on Chr7 in this order:
Xtrop chr7: slc16a9< LOC101735301|acrbp-like(.2)> acrbpl> LOC116412453|acrbpl.3 ccdc6< actrt2< ank3<
We have assigned the gene symbols acrbpl.2 and acrbpl.3 to the genes flanking acrbpl (Note: it is in fact better called acrbpl.1 for 'gene 1' but to keep things simple and avoid compuational glitches from the .1 suffix, we will leave 'acrbpl ' as it is. )
