Xenopus gene names was changed from LOC100490622, 3 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase/Delta 5-->4-isomerase to hsd3b4l, hydroxy-delta-5-steroid dehydrogenase, 3 beta- and steroid delta-isomerase 4 like. this change helps the databse computationally, by elimaintein gthe --> cjharacters, and is based on the protein matching >2000 protein in >400 species ( accession FASTA compared in EggNog5.0). This gene/protein is definately a 'beta- and steroid delta-isomerase' member, and this syntax matches the name of the similar (ie 'like') genes in mouse, rat and other mammals and models.
