Thsi gene page dispalys the  2nd '''atraid''' gene in ''Xenopus'' which occurs on Xtr.chr8.

I have renamed this "atraid-like" (''atraidl, all-trans retinoic acid induced differentiation factor like'') (although autocorrect would like to make it afraid, which has its charm).

The protein sequence/BLAST/orthology group(EggNogg) does identify this chr8 pc gene as a true ATRAID member.  If it occurs in other vertebrates, I have suggested to NCBI's David Webb that we might be able to sname it '''''atraid2'''''.

Thsi gene page dispalys the 2nd atraid gene in Xenopus which occurs on Xtr.chr8.

I have renamed this "atraid-like" (atraidl, all-trans retinoic acid induced differentiation factor like) (although autocorrect would like to make it afraid, which has its charm).

The protein sequence/BLAST/orthology group(EggNogg) does identify this chr8 pc gene as a true ATRAID member. If it occurs in other vertebrates, I have suggested to NCBI's David Webb that we might be able to sname it atraid2.
