''Xenopus gene '' name was updated changing from ''tgm3l.5, transglutaminase 3 like, gene 5'' to ''tgm6.2, transglutaminase 6 gene 2'' following  NCBI orthology assertions, and a match of X.trop protein to the TGM6 homology group in EggNog5.0.
This gene is adjacent to ''Xtr.tgm6'', so has been given the  ''gene 2/.2'' suffix.

tgm3l.5

This is the community wiki page for the gene tgm3l.5 please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase.

The Xenopus transglutaminase 3 (tgm3) genes show 8x tandem duplication and synteny to human TGM3 is difficult to establish.

This gene page (XB-GENEPAGE-22168643) was created, with the 'like' designation, and gene number to reflect preliminary analysis by Xenbase during Xenopus v9/10 genome annotation.

It should not be changed without detailed analysis and feedback from NCBI.

Xenopus gene name was updated changing from tgm3l.5, transglutaminase 3 like, gene 5 to tgm6.2, transglutaminase 6 gene 2 following NCBI orthology assertions, and a match of X.trop protein to the TGM6 homology group in EggNog5.0.

This gene is adjacent to Xtr.tgm6, so has been given the gene 2/.2 suffix.
