''Xenopus'' gene nomeclature was updated, changing  from ''LOC101731380, chromaffin granule amine transporter'' to ''slc18a1.7, solute carrier family 18 member A1 gene 7'' based on an analysis of protein phylogeny and synteny, and NCBI ortholog calls/assertions for SLC18A1 & SLC18A2 genes.
Note that there are numerous duplications of ''slc18a1'' genes in ''X. tropicalis'' and ''X. laevis'' on Chr3/3L/3S, and that true ''slc18a2'' genes in ''Xenopus'' are found on Chr7/7L, a conclusion supported by synteny.

Xenopus gene nomeclature was updated, changing from LOC101731380, chromaffin granule amine transporter to slc18a1.7, solute carrier family 18 member A1 gene 7 based on an analysis of protein phylogeny and synteny, and NCBI ortholog calls/assertions for SLC18A1 & SLC18A2 genes.

Note that there are numerous duplications of slc18a1 genes in X. tropicalis and X. laevis on Chr3/3L/3S, and that true slc18a2 genes in Xenopus are found on Chr7/7L, a conclusion supported by synteny.
