Note that ag13l seems to be unique to Xenopus , as Nanorana parkeri and caecilians seem to lack it.

Based on synteny the true alg13 ortholog is GeneID: 100145625, which consistently resides in this pattern in tetrapods: PAK3>...CAPN6<...DCX<...ALG13>...TRPC5>... ...LHFPL1<
