Xenopus gene name changed from grik5-like.1 , glutamate receptor KA2 to grik5l, glutamate ionotropic receptor kainate type subunit 5 like to conform to gene naming guidleines.

Orthology to Human and other vertebrate 'GRIK5' genes has not yet been established.
