Following review by NCBIs RefSeq team, synteny and protein similarity comparisons suggest that Xtrop gene [geneid:493453] was misidentified in the NCBI annotation Xenbase uses, and is actually the ortholog of human NICN1 (geneid:84276), and is not the true ortholog of MSTR1. that model havs been moved and renamed accordingly, and replaced with LOC100496572 (GeneID:100496572) as the ortholog of human MSTR1 (GeneID:4486).
