Based on synteny analaysis this is the true alg13 ortholog with GeneID: 100145625, which consistently resides in this pattern in tetrapods: PAK3>...CAPN6<...DCX<...ALG13>...TRPC5>... ...LHFPL1<

The true alg13 (GeneID: 100145625) gene page was created with this accession: XB-GENEPAGE-22172431, gene name: ALG13, UDP-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase subunit

Subsequently, GeneID: 549862 , ag13l on XB-GENEPAGE-5852382 symbol was changed from alg13 to alg13l, and the name changed to ALG13, UDP-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase subunit-like.

Synteny analysis shows that ag13l resides in this pattern TAT>... ...CHST4>..."ALG13">...ATXN1L>...ZNF821<...IST1> , on Chromsome 4.

Note that ag13l seems to be unique to Xenopus, as Nanorana parkeri and caecilians seem to lack it.
