This gene 's name was corrected following notification of the issue by NCBIs refseq coordinator (RSCOM-106), removing human loci number from the gene name and gene symbol.

Name changed from: serine protease 27-like 108703875 [provisional] ] to serine protease 8 like gene 3 [provisional]

Symbol changed from "prss8l108703875 to "prss8l.3 [provisional]".

Not sure why the genes in these Xenopus genes had the (presumably) incorrect serine protease number ( ie 27, not 8), likely a clerical error when gene pages for generated by Xenbase?
