The gene 'XB991164 [provisional:a4galt]', full name 'provisional ortholog of alpha 1,4-galactosyltransferase (P blood group)' has been changed to 'a4galtl', full name 'alpha 1,4-galactosyltransferase (P blood group) like'.

Previous symbols for the X. tropicalis and X. laevis L and S homeologs of this gene, 'XB991164', 'XB991164.L' and 'XB991164.S', respectively have been added as synonyms to this gene.

This decision is based on evidence of protein sequence BLAST and alignment to the existing a4galt gene, XB-GENEPAGE-493406.
