Xenopus Gene Name and symbol was changed from LOC619594, alpha-2-macroglobulin to a2ml3a.3, alpha-2-macroglobulin like 3a gene 3 following phylogenetic analysis of the vertebrate ovostatin and A2M protein/gene family by the HGNC.

LOC619594 is recorded as a synonym.
