dmrt5 is confirmed as a synonym for dmrta2, and is used as such in Parlier et al 2013: The Xenopus doublesex-related gene Dmrt5 is required for olfactory placode neurogenesis. Dev Biol 373 (2013) 39-52.

The EST accession CF290698 corresponds to unigene ID NM_001095679 at NCBI=> Xenopus laevis DMRT like family A2 S homeolog (dmrta2.S), mRNA (~2.5kb).

BLAST of this sequence to Xla and Xtr mRNA: confirms dmrta2.S
