Activator of adenylyl cyclase.

Marketed as a dietary supplement/alternative medication.

Many of its biological effects are due to its activation of adenylyl cyclase and the resulting increase in intracellular cAMP concentration.1 Forskolin effects calcium currents and inhibits MAP kinase."
