This gene renamed from clca3p to clca2 by kab on 6/12/2019 to better reflect synteny to the human locus, which has been split in Xenopus. This gene is the only clca gene in this locus, whereas many concatemerized genes are in the other locus. Proper human orthology would be to clca2
