in attempt to give this gene a better gene symbol- I looked at NCBI 05/jan/2023.

all NCBi genes with the same name have LOC# symbols, a new symbol based on gene name would be a long one:sccppds5-bal  !

leaving names unchanged for now.

note that the X.laevis genes are only ~300bp, where the other species have 1200+ bp with HEAT and treacle/pfam domains.
