Notes: 1) no Xtrop mig30 gene annotated in v10 genome
2) mig30.S and mig30.L are isolated/'orphan' names- nothing else in NCBI are called mig30. = redflag.
3)EggNog homology search (09/03/20230) had the protein for mig30 matching with high confident to KAZALD1, Kazal type serine peptidase inhibitor domain 1 proteins (functionally: insulin-like growth factor binding protein).
4) these X.laevis genes should probably be renamed. Perhaps kazald1-like, as XB has a true kazald1 gene page XB-GENEPAGE-486703 already , where all genes are all on Chr7/7L/7S.
5) mig30.L link to NCBI refSeq states:
NCBI Reference Sequence: NM_001088737.1 (click to see this obsolete version) Record removed. NM_001088737.1: This RefSeq was removed because it is a nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) candidate.
