XB-GENEPAGE-5893459 name changed from cspg4, chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4. to cspg4b, chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4b, following approval from HGNC and MGI. (for discussion see https://ncbijira.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/browse/RSCOM-55)

Background:David Webb identified these Xenopus genes as the TRUE cspg4-like genes, and the change was agreed to be cspg4b

X.tropicalis XB-GENE-5893460, X. laevis.L XB-GENE-17337147, X. laevis.S - no S homeolog

In Xenopus, these genes are all on Chromosome 1, in this order:

Ch1: cdc20b, gzmak, (prov. gzma.2), esm1, gzma, cspg4b, snx18, hspb3, arl15

Human symbol has changed for genepage ID: 5893459 From cspg4b to CSPG4BP, the P designating it as a psuedogene. Xenopus gene name/symbol remain unchanged.
