nomenclature changes

16MAY2023

Nomeclature needs to update, as the human ortholog is now called ZAR1L.

Xenopus gene symbol changed from zar2 to zar1l

08JUNE2024

Xenopus gene name has been corrected, changing from "ZAR1-like protein", to "zygote arrest 1 like", following the human gene name change from "zygote arrest 2" to "zygote arrest 1 like".

This was confirmed via conserved synteny patterns in human, chicken, mouse, zebrafish and Xenopus, where the zar1l gene is flanked by fry and brca2 in all taxa. These orthologs have been added to this gene page.
