c10h20orf96

This is the community wiki page for the Xenopus c9_10h20orf96 and c10h20orf96 genes, please feel free to add any information that is relevant to this gene that is not already captured elsewhere in Xenbase.

annotation notes

01OCT2024 (CJZ) Not that the nomenclature for ORF genes changed, and instead of being exactly the same as human, we now use 'c#' to indicated the chromosome in Xenopus that the ortholog resides, not the human chromosome number. This is why the Xtrop gene starts with 'c10' and the X.laevis gene starts with 'c9_10'.

Also note that the orthologs assertion are from NCBI, and are not supported by synteny , ie the c10h20orf96/c9_10h20orf96 gene in Xenopus are not flanked by the same genes as seen in human mouse.
